A Refined Introduction to the Kingdom
Bhutan reveals itself slowly. The Classic Himalayan Journey is designed for those who want to understand the Kingdom — its monasteries, its governance, its landscape — without rushing past it.
Beginning in the Paro Valley and moving through Thimphu and Punakha, this privately curated journey covers Bhutan’s most significant cultural sites at a pace that allows genuine connection. Your Bhutanese guide provides the context that transforms sightseeing into understanding.
What You Will Experience

The Ascent to Tiger’s Nest
The hike to Paro Taktsang — the sacred monastery perched 900 metres above the valley floor — is among the most memorable walks in Asia. The trail rises through pine forest draped in prayer flags before revealing the monastery clinging to the cliff face.
Your guide will explain the spiritual significance of this site and the legend of Guru Rinpoche that surrounds it. Allow a full morning. The ascent takes two to three hours at a comfortable pace, with rest stops at the clifftop cafeteria and the viewpoint platform.
Cultural & Institutional Insight
Visit fortress-monasteries (dzongs), sacred temples, and Bhutan’s capital Thimphu — gaining perspective on how governance, spirituality, and landscape remain closely interwoven.

Himalayan Forest Trails
Walk ridge-top monastery paths and forest trails that offer expansive views across protected valleys.

The Punakha River Valley
Descend into the warmer agricultural heartland of Punakha — a marked contrast to Thimphu’s elevation. Visit the Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful buildings, sitting at the confluence of two rivers.
The valley is at its finest in spring, when the jacaranda trees are in bloom, and in autumn, when the rice fields turn golden before harvest.
Carefully Selected Accommodation
Stay in heritage-style luxury hotels and refined boutique lodges that combine architectural authenticity with modern comfort.
